Here in the upper room discourse, Jesus has told his disciples that he would be leaving them and they were concerned. Here in John 14:1-3 Jesus speaks to reassure them in their concerns. He explains that he will be getting a place ready for them and us, preparing a forever home in heaven. This is where our thoughts should be.
