ClosePaul describes his situation as one with setbacks - he is a prisoner and he knows of preachers with motives of envy and malice, but despite this Paul is rejoicing because the gospel is being advanced and Christ is being preached, whether out of envy or good will. Paul was resting in Christ despite adversity, and we should do likewise.
