A Fragrant Offering - John 11:54-12:8
Knowing the hostile reaction of the Pharisees after Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, Jesus left that area, then came to Bethany. At dinner with Lazarus and family, Mary shows her love by anointing Jesus's feet with very expensive ointment and Jesus receives her act of worship. Judas objected to this lavish gift, being self and a thief himself, but Jesus defended her action and Jesus referred to his impending death. Like Mary, we should give expression of our love and devotion to Jesus.
