A True Thanksgiving - Colossians 1:1-8
Paul in his letter to this church begins by giving thanks. We ought to give thanks to God for the gospel and the love it produces in our lives. God is worthy of our thanks - he is the giver of every good gift and the giver of the best steadfast love and redemption of us. We are thankful for the faith God gave the church by his Spirit and through the ministry of reconciliation made by Christ. And we are thankful for the love from the Lord that flows through us to all the saints. We seek to grow in love for the Lord and in thankfulness and in love for our brothers.
