God's Covenant with Israel
In Genesis 35, God renews His covenant with Jacob, as He continues to be faithful to keep His promises despite the atrocities committed in chapter 34. At the end of the chapter the stage is set for the future building of the nation as Jacob's 12th son is born, and he is finally reunited with his father Isaac on his death bed.
