Quenched - John 7:37-39
Jesus continues his message in Jerusalem during the feast of booths, now on the last and great day of the feast. Jesus teaches about thirst and water and drinking, and he teaches that the drinking of water from Jesus is (as in John 4) believing in Jesus and that the living water is the Holy Spirit and as the spirit changes and makes alive the heart of the believer, the believer will produce truth (John 14:16-18) and fruit of the spirit, flowing out of him. In Jesus, our deepest desires are fulfilled and satisfied. In Jesus we have the peace of God, and his smile of love, and no one could reasonably want more.
