CloseIn Genesis 39 we see the Lord's continued blessing on Joseph, even as he is sold into slavery into the house of Potiphar the Egyptian. Even when he is falsely imprisoned, God continues to protect and bless him as he is given great authority over the inner workings of the king's prison. Joseph points us forward to Jesus, the suffering servant. It was through His perfect obedience that He came to the cross to suffer and die in the place of His people in order to save us from our sins and an eternity in hell.
