Sprinkled Clean in Christ - Ezekiel 36:25-28
The prophet Ezekiel describes God bringing His people into His kingdom using a picture of cleansing by water, indicating a cleansing not on the outside but the inside, and by giving His Spirit . The work of the Spirit is not tied to the time of Baptism. Titus 3:-5 explains our salvation is by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 10:22-23 continues the same theme as our hearts are sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
