Imminent Betrayal - John 13:20-30
Jesus washed the feet of Judas, his betrayer, a shocking fact (love your enemies). Judas had clean feet, but his heart was not clean. Jesus was experiencing emotional distress knowing that Judas would betray him, troubled in his spirit. Jesus announced that one of his disciples would betray him, and the disciples were confused. Peter motioned to John to ask Jesus who was the betrayer and Jesus indicated to John that it was Judas. He gave bread to Judas and sent him out. And it was night - dark.
