Hope Springs Eternal - John 4:1-15
Jesus left Judea and went north through Samaria. He stopped in Sychar at noon, being tired. He initiated a conversation with a Samaritan woman asking for a drink of water. The woman was surprised that a person from the hostile Jewish race spoke to her, and asked him about it. Jesus quickly turned the topic to an offer and a promise of something better than the good water from Jacob's well. Jesus offered the woman living water that would quench her thirst forever and become a continuous fountain of water from the inside, referring to the Holy Spirit, the gift that satisfies all of God's people.
