Gritty Grace - John 13:10-19
After washing the feet of the disciples, Jesus tells them they are clean. Jesus knew Judas (not clean) would betray him but he did not act to prevent the betrayal and his subsequent crucifixion. Jesus teaches the disciples (and us) the significance of his servant action. He says the disciples (and we) are to act in service to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Like Jesus served the disciples, we should serve our brothers, even sacrificially, even outside our comfort zone.
