Faith, Fear, and Final Judgment - John 12:42-50
Many were saved and believed at Jesus's teaching, but did not follow Christ well, afraid to confess the lordship of Christ. Jesus reinforces his solidarity with God the Father and the identity of his teaching and truth with God the Father. Judgment is coming at the last day and those who reject the truth of Jesus's teaching face certain condemnation.
