Already Provided For, Not Yet Redeemed - Ruth 2:1-23
God's abundant provision for his people in the past pictures His true provision for us in Jesus Christ. Ruth trusts that if she gleans, the Lord will provide food for her. The Lord has arranged the meeting for Ruth with Boaz. Boaz treats her with special kindness and Ruth is deeply appreciative of this great favor. Boaz indicates that Ruth is following the Lord, taking refuge in Him. The Lord provided bountifully for Ruth's needs, and he provides bountifully for ours, most especially in Christ Jesus.
