A Big Easter If - Colossians 3:1-2
The big "if" is, "if, then, you have been raised with Christ". Have you been raised with Christ? 1 Corinthians 15:17-19 describes the resurrection, and Christ is the firstborn from among the dead, and all believers follow in his resurrection. We are Christ's brothers who follow his resurrection. Our position as resurrected with Christ is so certain that it is described as already done. For every believer, we have in fact been raised with Christ. Knowing our position with Christ, our mindset belongs with heavenly things, our minds are to be set on things above, not on things on the earth. Our thoughts and hearts should be on the things of the Lord, the things the Lord loves, like things that are pure, lovely, honorable, true, kind, loving. These kinds of things. It is the natural mindset of the believer and a beautiful privilege.
