Jesus continued teaching the Pharisees, with a tone of dire warning, even rebuke. He said that his ministry is naturally and necessarily identical with that of the Father and Holy Spirit (no separate authority). Then Jesus continued teaching focusing on the sources that bear witness to Jesus as the Christ, the Savior. John the Baptist bore witness to Jesus. Greater than that, the works of Jesus bore witness to Jesus. Also, the testimony of God the Father bore witness, and the Scriptures of the Old Testament bore witness, and Moses himself bore witness to Jesus. The witness born all witnessed that Jesus is the Christ, the Redeemer, the Savior, the the purpose of the witness is that people may come to Jesus and receive life everlasting.
