Strength in Weakness - Judges 16:23-31

At the end of Samson's life, we reflect on his testimony. When was Samson at his weakest? It was most of his life, when he was relying on his own strength, trusting in himself, arrogant. When was he at his strongest? When he stops trusting in himself and in repentance and faith looks to God to be his strength (2 Corinthians 12:10). What is the source of Samson's strength? Not his hair or his Nazirite vow, but his strength is the saving love and faithful care of the Lord. In Christ alone, we are kept in God's hands because God is forgiving in Christ and strong and gracious.
