One Body - Romans 12:3-11

The church, as the bride of Christ, is a unit, a cohesive whole, characterized by unity and love, but also by diversity, with each Christian having different abilities and inclinations and talents to contribute to the life of the church. Paul in this section describes how we should use these gifts in serving the church and, more importantly, lovingly serving the Lord in the church. And the way we should serve includes with generosity, with zeal, with cheerfulness. These acts of service build up the church, the family of God, and are a cause of rejoicing.
